Chapel Presentation

Wednesday's are great days! Not because it's the middle of the week, but because it's chapel day at ICSV!! I teach during high school chapel, but am able to attend middle school chapel each week. Chapel starts with two rounds of Minute to Win It (a competition between 6th, 7th, and 8th graders), followed by a middle school praise band that leads a few worship songs. Then, throughout the semester teachers are rotating through teaching  on the book of Mark. Our desire is for students to be AMAZED by who Jesus is! Please pray for that to be true for them as well as our staff.
Today, there was an added event and it was a presentation from 3 of the middle school students who are Indian. They shared with the students about the Dalits or untouchables in India and how they are persecuted. Two of the students are themselves Dalits. They asked students to give of their money and toys to share with the untouchables in India who have nothing. It was so neat to see their courage to share with their classmates! It is crazy to think that I have songs about (Caedmon's Call has a great CD called Share the Well)  and have prayed for the Dalits, and here are a few students who fit that description and are advocating for their people. Pray for justice to prevail for these people and ultimately that they would hear and know God's truth and love!

  1. Truly amazing that "untouchables" have been touched by our mighty Savior and are now reaching out. Your school has encouraged and enabled that! DDM
